Senior AWS Cloud Security Engineer | Remote, UK | £90,000 - £120,000

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior AWS Cloud Security Engineer to join a growing team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud security and a proven track record of designing and implementing secure AWS cloud infrastructure.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain security controls in AWS to meet security and compliance requirements;

  • Develop and implement AWS security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards such as SOC 2, PCI DSS, and ISO 27001;

  • Perform security assessments, risk analysis, and security audits of AWS infrastructure;

  • Work closely with developers to ensure secure coding practices and architecture design;

  • Investigate and respond to security incidents, including conducting forensics analysis and providing recommendations for remediation;

  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure the security of applications and data in the cloud;

  • Stay up-to-date with current security trends and technologies and recommend improvements to existing security processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field;

  • 5+ years of experience in cloud security and AWS;

  • Strong knowledge of AWS security services, including IAM, KMS, CloudTrail, and WAF;

  • Experience with security and compliance certifications such as SOC 2, PCI DSS, and ISO 27001;

  • Familiarity with security and network protocols, such as SSL/TLS, HTTPS, and VPN;

  • Strong understanding of secure coding practices, secure architecture design, and threat modelling;

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
