Lead Network Security Engineer – Remote – £60k - £75k

We are pleased to be working with this exciting Financial Services client who is a specialist in their market, offering a range of business funding products to help innovative individuals and businesses to help turn business dreams into a financially accessible reality.

They are now in the search for a Network and Security Engineer to come in to help design, implement and manage the network infrastructure and its security and lead the delivery of high-level projects.

Responsibilities

  • Working with the wider security team reporting and investigating network issues

  • Be the lead engineer on network and firewall projects

  • Design, implementation, administration and maintenance of next-generation firewalls, VPNs and load balancers

  • Ensure the security of network infrastructure by maintaining best practice configuration and firmware levels

  • Review, plan and implement changes to networking systems and services

  • Identify gaps and opportunities as part of continuous improvement to ensure high standards of security, resilience and performance.

What are they looking for?

  • Proven experience of designing, implementing and administering one or more of the following: Check Point, Fortinet and Palo Alto

  • The ability to design and maintain secure network architectures in cloud and on-premises environments

  • Experience of administering Cisco network infrastructure, including NX-OS, IOS, WLC and Identity Services Engine (ISE)

  • Experience of designing, implementing and administering firewalls, ACLs, IPS/IDS, VPNs, load balancers, DNS, DHCP

  • Strong troubleshooting skills, including packet analysis to diagnose application and connectivity issues

  • Advanced knowledge of WAN, LAN and WLAN networking principles, protocols and technologies


Salary

£60k- £75k per annum + Benefits
