Senior Security Architect - UK Remote - £50,000 - £90,000 + benefits

Are you currently working in a large company and frustrated by corporate red tape and lack of control and influence over key security decisions? Would you like a more flexible work environment where management trust you to do what you do best, with no micromanagement or unrealistic deadlines?

If so, then we may have the perfect role for you. My client, a boutique consulting company that specialises in the application and cloud security service is looking for a Senior Security Architect to join their team and expand their skill set. They have an impressive client list, including many in the defence, education and energy sectors.

They’re looking to hire a talented Security Architect who can handle all things security-related on a number of platforms, including AWS & Azure public cloud environments, Openstack private cloud environments, Kubernetes & Docker.

Typical duties and responsibilities include:

  • Assessing cloud and container implementations, reviewing design and configurations, and making improvement recommendations to minimize risk.

  • Conduct analysis of instance attack surface and threats using industry-standard threat models, document findings in the assessment report and consult with clients on a strategy to mitigate identified risks.

  • Develop, compute & update cloud and container security requirements in AWS and Azure.

  • Play a lead role in cross-team projects to design, develop, deploy and maintain cloud and container security monitoring systems.

To be a good fit for this role, you will have:

  • Prior experience working as a Security Architect, designing and implementing security environments in the cloud.

  • Experience reviewing cloud and container environments, performing threat modelling and recommending secure designs.

  • Deep knowledge of cloud, container and operating system security misconfigurations, vulnerabilities and countermeasures.

Interviews are scheduled to take place next week so if you’re interested in hearing more about this and other roles, then, please apply now!
