GCP Cloud Security Engineer | Remote, UK | £70,000 - £80,000
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cloud Security Engineer with expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure cloud solutions on GCP.

Design and implement secure and scalable cloud solutions on GCP that meet business and security requirements;
Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and guidelines for GCP environments;
Conduct security risk assessments and identify security vulnerabilities in GCP environments;
Implement and maintain security controls, including IAM, VPC, Firewall Rules, and Cloud Identity and Access Management;
Integrate security into the DevOps process by implementing security testing, vulnerability scanning, and compliance checks;
Monitor and analyse security logs and alerts to identify security incidents and respond to them in a timely manner;
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that security is integrated into all aspects of cloud infrastructure and applications;
Conduct security training and awareness sessions for internal stakeholders.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field;
5+ years of experience in cloud security engineering with a focus on GCP;
In-depth knowledge of GCP services and technologies, including Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine and Cloud Storage;
Experience with security and compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, PCI DSS, and HIPAA.
Familiarity with DevOps and agile methodologies;
Strong communication and collaboration skills;
Certifications such as GCP Professional Cloud Security Engineer or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) are a plus.
