Cyber Security Architect - UK (Hybrid) - £50,000 - £90,000 + Benefits

I am currently working on a newly created position for a U.K.-based cyber security consultancy who are looking to hire a Security Solutions Architect to play a key role in providing architectural governance and leading a technical team during the delivery of external projects that secure services, systems and infrastructure.

You will have the ability to communicate complex security and technical issues in a simple, non-technical way to broad audiences and have strong technical design and delivery experience.

You should possess a unique blend of architectural, business and security awareness and have a desire to innovate. My client is looking for this hire to play a key role in creating strategies to deliver on their security vision.

The core duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate are:

  • Designing end-to-end solution architectures for Government and Defence contracts

  • Producing high-level Security Architecture Designs and conceptual architecture documentation.

  • Advising on secure design, attack surface area reduction, threat mitigations and security standard methodologies.

  • Applying understanding of GRC frameworks including NIST, PCI DSS & ISO27001 to demonstrate compliance and subject matter expertise to stakeholders.

  • Developing technical solutions based on emerging threats to support organizational security and compliance objectives.

To be considered for this role you should have:

  • 3+ years’ experience in security architecture roles including designing and building secure systems, networks & infrastructures.

  • Experience in one or more of the following security frameworks and standards; PCI DSS, HIPAA or NIST.

  • Hands on experience working with firewalls, IDS, IPS, SIEM & EDR platforms such as Splunk, Carbon Black, Cisco or equivalents.

  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM or GIAC are highly desirable but not required.
