Senior Security Analyst - UK Remote - £50,000-£70,000

Locke & McCloud are in search of a Senior Security analyst for our client, a leading Software Development organisation. As a senior security analyst your role is pivotal in fortifying our client’s cyber security defence’s and ensuring the resilience of our clients digital ecosystem. You will monitor security alerts and incidents, swiftly identify potential threats, and lead incident response efforts. Additionally, you'll prioritize and address vulnerabilities, contribute to our client’s cyber security strategy, develop security policies, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Continuously monitor security alerts and events, analyse potential threats, and provide timely response and resolution.

  • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify weaknesses in systems and applications.

  • Lead incident response efforts, investigate security incidents, and develop mitigation plans to minimize the impact.

  • Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

  • Collaborate with the IT team to design and implement security measures and controls for systems and networks.

  • Provide security awareness training to employees and promote a culture of security awareness across the organisation.

  • Perform security audits and assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

To be Considered for this role, you should have:

  • Strong Proven/experience in cyber security, with a proven track record of progressively responsible roles.

  • Strong knowledge of security frameworks, standards, and best practices (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).

  • Proficiency in security tools and technologies, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, and firewall solutions.

  • Knowledge of cloud security and experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.

  • Demonstrated leadership and project management abilities.
