Senior Cyber Specialist | Oxford | £45,000 - £60,000 + Benefits

The Cyber Security Officer will be responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems and data. The successful candidate will have experience in Microsoft technologies, Azure Active Directory, and strong knowledge of ISO 27001.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and standards to ensure the protection of our systems and data;

  • Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability testing, and penetration testing to identify and address potential security risks;

  • Monitor and analyse security logs, events, and alerts to detect security breaches and unauthorised access;

  • Investigate security incidents and breaches, and develop incident response plans to minimize the impact of such incidents;

  • Work with IT teams to implement security controls, including access controls, encryption, and firewalls;

  • Ensure compliance with security standards and regulations, including ISO27001;

  • Provide security training and awareness programs for employees to promote a security-conscious culture;

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest security technologies and trends, and make recommendations for improving our security posture.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years' experience in Cyber Security;

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including Azure Active Directory, Office 365, and Windows Server;

  • Familiarity with ISO27001 and other security standards;

  • Experience in conducting security assessments, vulnerability testing, and penetration testing.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills;

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
