Role:SC Cleared Cyber Security and Networking Engineer
Location: UK Hybrid, Northamptonshire
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 DOE + Great Benefits
Our client, a niche Cyber Security consultancy firm, is seeking experienced Cyber Security Engineers to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for all aspects of Cyber Security engineering and have experience in various areas such as security architecture, network security, security operations, and more.
To be considered for this role, candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience with SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) tools. Examples of SIEM tools that we're looking for include Splunk, IBM QRadar, LogRhythm, and AlienVault. As a Cyber Security Engineer, you'll be responsible for configuring, deploying, and maintaining SIEM systems, as well as analysing and responding to security events.
It's important to note that all candidates must be SC Cleared. No exceptions will be made. The successful candidate will be working in a client-facing role, ; therefore excellent communication skills are valued.
Responsibilities include:
Configure and implement cyber security systems to meet clients' needs
Conduct risk assessments and provide guidance on security best practices
Work closely with clients to understand their security requirements and design solutions to meet their needs
Monitor security systems and proactively identify and resolve any issues that arise
Analyse and respond to security events in a timely and effective manner
Collaborate with other members of the security team to develop and implement security policies and procedures
Stay up to date with the latest cyber security threats and trends and make recommendations for improvements to security systems and processes
To be considered you must have:
SC Clearance
At least 2 years of experience with SIEM tools such as Splunk, IBM QRadar, LogRhythm, or AlienVault
Experience in threat detection/vulnerability management
Experience in various areas of cyber security engineering, such as security architecture, network security, security operations etc.
Excellent communication and client-facing skills
