Offensive Security Consultant-UK Remote-£50,000-£70,000

Locke & McCloud is currently working with a well-known cyber consultancy that is currently seeking an Offensive Security Consultant, with exceptional penetration testing and red teaming skills to join the team. Our client, a prominent player in the cybersecurity industry, is committed to delivering state-of-the-art solutions and unmatched expertise to safeguard critical assets.

They will allow a healthy amount of time for research and development whilst also providing exciting projects to keep even the most avid tester engaged! They know that the consultants make the backbone of the company and provide the newest tools and software to keep your skills sharpened!


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough penetration tests and vulnerability assessments to identify weaknesses in client systems, networks, and applications.

  • Perform detailed analysis of security vulnerabilities and devise customized strategies to mitigate identified risks.

  • Execute red teaming exercises to simulate real-world attacks and discover vulnerabilities within client environments.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide practical recommendations and enhance overall security posture for clients.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Offensive Security Consultant or in a similar capacity.

  • Proficiency in using penetration testing tools and methodologies, such as Kali Linux, Burp Suite, Metasploit, and Nmap.

  • Strong grasp of network protocols, web applications, and common vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10).

  • Familiarity with various operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS) and cloud environments.

  • Ability to conduct social engineering engagements to assess organizational security awareness.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Relevant certifications such as OSCP, OSCE, or OSEP are highly desirable
