Established in 2017 we are recruitment consultancy focusing solely on the Information and Cyber Security recruitment space. Given that 2017 was the worst year to date for Hacking and Cyber-attacks we know that the most important subject on that majority of corporations agendas is how to improve their cyber/information security infrastructure. With this in mind the directors of Lock & McCloud have identified the security space as an area with significant growth potential in the recruitment industry.

Locke & McCloud have attracted significant venture capital backing as our investors are confident that the security recruitment space will be an area of massive expansion in the coming years, and as such we have ambitious plans to become the staffing vendor of choice for Information & Cyber security.

What is your role?

Recruitment is matchmaking – We identify clients that have a need for Information and Cyber Security and we match them with the best talent in the market place. This means there are two sides of our job. Candidates and clients:


  • Use various tools such as the internal database, LinkedIn Recruiter, Job Boards and headhunting to proactively identify candidates
  • Learn to use the additional tools above and beyond the standard recruitment toolkit, which we have invested in to help you make many more placements
  • Pre-screen and interview candidates to understand suitability for clients
  • Ensure candidates expectations are managed including feedback, salaries and interviews
  • Use the internal database to build talent pools for each requirement
  • Work towards tight deadlines and targets to ensure delivery of CVs for each requirement
  • Attend regular networking events and conferences to engage on a face to face level with the best talent in the market
  • Deliver and negotiate offers

Client Development and Management:

  • You will establish an effective client target list to execute business development with the assistance of your manager to identify new business opportunities
  • Continuously develop and manage relationships with new and existing clients
  • Attend client meetings with management & senior stakeholders to ensure that we fully understand our customers needs
  • Take full job specs and briefings from clients and ensure terms of business are agreed and adhered to
  • Provide timely solutions ensuring a sense of urgency is always kept
  • Manage client expectations and candidate’s feedback and expectations
