SOC Analyst - Berkshire

Our Client:

Our client is a global leading IT services company with huge growth plans for 2019. This client specialises in computer software & cybersecurity products. The security risk level to this client is high risk due to the sensitivity of their client data.


The Role:

Our client is looking to bring on a SOC Analyst to work in the Security Operations Centre. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual to be a part of the team from & grow/develop with the SOC. You will play a leading role in day to day duties as well as manage the team & guide the SOC on a technical, operational & strategic level.


Essential skills:

·Solid understanding of SIEM tools

·Previous leadership skills

·Strong written and verbal communication skills

·Demonstrated ability to the use of security best practices such as ISO27001 & other relevant security legalisation

·2-3 years of information security related experience, in areas such as: security operations, incident analysis, incident handling, risk assessments, vulnerability management & Security architecture

·Preferably have Security certifications like CISSP, GIAH, GIAC, CCNA, CCNP

You will be responsible for designing and implementing Security processes for my client’s customers ensuring all the while they are working in line with Compliance Regulations. Leasing with the Pre-sales team is also one of the main responsibilities of this role ensuring the business is moving in the right direction and is maximizing its profitability.

This is a National role so you will be expected to be available to travel across the UK predominantly and spend extended periods of time away from home. This can sometimes be at short notice due to the wide range of engagements they are winning daily. This will only enhance your reputation throughout the industry as you will be making connections that will be valuable to you in your future endeavors.

The Ideal Candidate will have

  • A minimum of 5 Years’ experience in Cyber Security
  • Experience going directly out to client sites to conduct Security Audits
  • Vast experience in Mcafee solutions and implementations
  • Experience leasing with Pre-sales team as the technical lead
  • A strong understanding of ISO27001/PCI-DSS
  • Some experience with SIEM tools
  • Some exposure to Penetration Testing engagements
  • UK Driver’s License
  •  Ability to travel across the UK at short notice
