Job introduction

This is a hybrid consulting role that will give you exposure to exciting projects. You will be planning, implementing, and reporting into the multiple industry-leading CISO’s. You will also have the responsibility of managing a team of 10 information security consultants. This role will work with; Governance, Risk, Compliance, Azure, Microsoft 365 and much more.

We are ideally looking for candidates to have a minimum of 2 years’ experience with these frameworks, and ideally, people management skills although this company would consider training talent into management. This client has a large budget to deliver continuous qualifications, to help grow your skills.

I am currently working on a highly exciting opportunity in London with a Financial Services company who are looking for a strong Information Security Specialist to come on board. You will be joining a rapidly expanding team of specialists and be a key part in the company’s infrastructure.

 

The is a highly exciting opportunity working for a very innovative company. You will work in the heart of central London in a high tech, modern office.

 

Duties Include:

  • Third party risk management.
  • Ensure the company integrity in terms of security standards of ISO27001, PCI DSS, GDPR & Data Protection.
  • Liaising with stakeholders in regards to security threats to the business.
  • Identifying gaps in the security infrastructure and accessing what changes need to made to amend them.
  • Provide support to the team on the implementation of information security risks and strategies.
  • Act as the SME on Information Security.
  • Work directly with the CISO in implementing a Security Roadmap.

 

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience working within Information Security.
  • Experience liaising with stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills – written and spoken.
  • Self-starter and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Strong IT background

 

Desirable:

  • Relevant industry certification (CISSP, CISA, CISM).
  • ISO 27001 Lead Auditor/Lead Implementer.
  • Degree level education in a relevant subject.

Job Responsibilities

  • You will work closely with the Cyber Security Manager and go out to client sites to resolve their issues
  • Dealing with Cyber Security threats and establish the best means in which to tackle the issues
  • Conduct Penetration Tests to ensure the companies clients have secure frameworks
  • Conduct Email phishing exercises in order to keep the specific client’s staff aware of threat trends in the market
  • Write weekly reports highlighting vulnerabilities assessed in the past week.

 

Experience Required

  • 3 Years’ + experience in Cyber Security
  • Vast experience in conducting report writing highlighting vulnerabilities to company managers and directors
  • Perform internal and external security risk assessments
  • Some experience carrying out Penetration Tests
  • Experience dealing with Email Phishing attacks
  • Display some experience in working on Social Engineering projects
  • Experience working with company Directors to discuss initiatives

  • Conduct and manage external audits.

Essential Knowledge/Requirements:

  • A degree in engineering, computer science, phyrics or mathematics.
  • Experience working within Financial Services is very desirable.
  • 3+ years experience in a similar role, strong audit & management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of security standards including ISO27001, NIST, COBIT.
  • Technical background very desirable.
