Job Title: Senior DevSecOps Engineer

Location: Remote (UK-based candidates)

Salary Range: £60,000 - £100,000 per annum

Position Overview:


As a DevSecOps Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the security, stability, and scalability of our client's applications and infrastructure. You will be responsible for implementing security best practices into the development and operations lifecycle while collaborating with cross-functional teams to create a robust and secure technology environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Integrate security into the entire software development and delivery process.

  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to automate security testing and monitoring.

  • Identify vulnerabilities, threats, and risks and implement effective solutions.

  • Manage and maintain security tools and infrastructure, such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability scanning tools.

  • Stay up-to-date with emerging security threats and industry best practices.

  • Assist in incident response and vulnerability management.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a DevSecOps Engineer, with a minimum of 3 years in the field.

  • Strong knowledge of DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code (IaC).

  • Expertise in security tools and practices, such as penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, and threat modeling.

  • Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Bash, Ansible).

  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Relevant certifications, such as Certified DevSecOps Engineer (CDSE) or similar, are a plus.

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
