Senior Cyber Security Consultant – Bristol, UK (Hybrid, Remote) - £55,000 - £75,000 + benefits:
Locke & McCloud are working with a leading Cyber Security consultancy that is looking for a Senior Cyber Security Consultant to join their growing team!
The consultancy invests heavily in its Cyber Security team, ensuring that they are equipped with the latest facilities for consultants to conduct their research and projects. The consultancy work alongside businesses to understand the value of their information assets, assess any security risks, and develop the technical and procedural controls that are needed to manage these assets.
This role is a hybrid pattern of work, with remote and on-site work with visits to client sites in Bristol and London.
Responsibilities:
Produce accreditation evidence, security policies and operating procedures, risk assessments, and security assurance management plans
Experience working with stakeholders, liaising directly with the client, and ensuring all programme deadlines are adhered to
Analysing the effectiveness of active security controls and proposing enhanced security improvements
Developing and maintaining relationships with existing clients, developing proposals to meet their needs, and working to actively grow the client base
Taking on a leadership approach in a mentoring capacity to other consultants to enable their development and progression
Essential Skills & Experience
Minimum 3 years experience in a Senior Cyber Security position
Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or similar
Strong knowledge of the industry standards and the best practice for IT management and cyber security
ISO 27001 qualification and experience with working knowledge of Governance, Risk & Compliance
Great written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Essential Requirements:
SC Clearance- if not, willing to undergo government security clearance process
Must be eligible to work in the UK and have the relevant right to work documents
Willing to travel
Desired Experience & Skills
Working with suppliers and assuring security in their equipment deliveries
Previous experience working as a MoD Security Assurance Coordinator
Experience of supporting the design and delivery of operational military systems
Knowledge and understanding of cloud security
