​Role: Senior Cyber Security Analyst (IR)

Rate: £300 - £400 per day (outside IR3)

Location: Birmingham (Remote)

Job Type: Contract

I am currently on the lookout for a Senior Security Analyst on behalf of my client (who are a large Consultancy) to join their team to help Maintain and manage their Security of Operations. This role will be temporarily remote and will require a Security Analyst with strong experience in a SOC.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Liaise with the SOC lead to optimise the use of Cyber Security Tools

• Manage and Maintain the SOC’s SIEM offerings and platforms

• Working closely with internal stakeholders and customer through the entire vulnerability cycle

• Ensure the delivery of high quality and effective SIEM service

• Act as an Incident Handler during high priority incidents

• Document and develop new process related to security Monitoring processes

Skills & Experience

• Strong understanding and experience in Incident Response

• Experience in the deployment of SIEMS platforms including:Splunk, Alien Vault, LogRhythm, IBM Q Radar, Alert Logic or similar

• WAF Platform experience

• Possess a working knowledge of common network communications and routing protocols

• Strong Communication and management skills

• Vulnerability management and assessment experience
