Role: Senior Cloud Engineer

Location: London

Salary: £100,000+

A global hedge fund based in the City of London is looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer to join the Cloud team. This organisation are undergoing a large transformation, migrating services from on- prem to Azure.

The successful candidate will have a security engineering background and a thorough understanding of security best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and deploy cloud solutions with a strong emphasis on security, particularly focusing on Azure.
Collaborate with application teams and other infrastructure units to address any issues that arise.
Contribute to shaping strategies and blueprints for cloud infrastructure, ensuring alignment with both Technology infrastructure and the overarching goals of the organisation, while staying consistent with business strategies.
Work alongside the Cloud Team Lead to establish and maintain a resilient, dependable, and high-performing cloud infrastructure.
Assist in pinpointing underlying causes of issues and aiding the Cloud Team Lead in implementing necessary controls and protocols to prevent reoccurrence.
Execute tasks following established protocols and guidelines, ensuring adherence to security and compliance procedures.

About you:

Experience in a Cloud Engineering position working across cloud infrastructure, with a track record in delivery of successful Infrastructure projects.
In-depth knowledge and hands- on experience of Microsoft Azure.
Cloud Networking: vNETs, NSG's, UDR's, Peering, VPN's, Load Balancing & Direct Connections (e.g. ExpressRoute).
Hands-on knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS).
Relevant certifications such Azure Solutions Architect.
