Locke & McCloud have partnered with a leading consultancy who are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Operations Lead to join their growing infrastructure and network department. The Infrastructure Operations Lead will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a group of infrastructure specialists, including network management, security, and system administration.
Our client is looking for a candidate strong in networking, with expertise in Fortinet, Aruba, Cisco, and similar technologies. This role requires excellent leadership skills, technical proficiency, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Main responsibilities:
Manage and lead the infrastructure and network operations team, providing guidance, mentoring, and performance feedback to team members.
Oversee the daily operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the organization's network infrastructure.
Ensure the availability, integrity, and security of network systems, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
Develop and implement network architecture and design strategies to optimize performance, scalability, and resilience.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute infrastructure projects, including network upgrades, expansions, and migrations.
Monitor network performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement appropriate solutions to enhance network efficiency.
To be considered for this role, you should have experience in:
Experience in a senior role within infrastructure operations, a focus on networking is preferable.
Strong expertise in network technologies, including Fortinet, Aruba, Cisco, and similar platforms.
In-depth knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, and network security principles.
Experience in network design and architecture, including the ability to plan and implement scalable and resilient network solutions.
Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
