Head of Security Engineering - London - £90,000-£115,000

 

Locke & McCloud are working with a cutting-edge start-up specialising in AI technology to recruit a Head of Security Engineering. As the Head of Security Engineering you will be working with the CTO, Head of Safety and Head of Privacy to develop a new security engineering roadmap to ensure security is implemented from the beginning of the SDLC and the company can continue to scale up in a secure manner.

This is an excellent opportunity to take on a greenfield project and build out your security engineering team from scratch!

 

You will be...

  • Recruiting and onboarding security engineers (within Azure, DevOps and AppSec)
  • Responsible for hardening existing infrastructure
  • Leading deployments of cloud security tools and platforms
  • Developing and defining best security practices
  • Participating in innovation round-tables to help develop news secure product offerings
  • Upskill and educate engineering teams on security
  • Working with architects to improve security posture

 

Key skills...

  • Extensive experience in security engineering
  • Prior experience implementing Azure security tools and cloud migrations
  • Familiarity with Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform and Jira
  • Strong knowledge of security standards and frameworks (CIS, ISO27001, NIST)
  • Skilled in communicating with senior business stakeholders and leaders
