Are you an experienced defensive security professional who wants to take ownership of developing the entire security framework and strategic roadmap for an emerging and rapidly growing Consultancy?


Have you got a technical background working as a Senior Security Analyst or Incident Response specialist and would like your next role to be focusing on cyber security architecture and strategy? My client is a rapidly growing MSSP who are looking to make several key senior hires as their business goes from strength to strength.

 

Even in these uncertain times, my client is seeing demand for their services grow month on month and they plan to add 15 additional people by the end of Q2.


The Director of Security Operations will take charge of an established blue team consisting of SOC, Incident Response and Threat Intelligence units while also being responsible for identifying and establishing additional defensive security service offerings.


The role will involve:


  •   Manage and operate the Security Operations Center (SOC) supporting my client’s internal solutions and their customer facing services.

  • Working  with the Architecture team, providing input and direction into architectural decisions at a strategic level.

  • Mapping  customer network to frameworks such as NIST & ISO or using case development against MITRE.

  • Partner with business, application and Security Engineering and infrastructure teams to drive selection of Security technologies, POCs and implementation.

  • Providing relevant  market intelligence to C level stakeholders.


To be considered a suitable candidate for this role, you should have:


  • An in-depth understanding and command of the fundamentals of network routing, TCP/IP and Network.

  • 5+ years’ experience in SOC, IR or Threat Intelligence roles, preferably having worked for an MSSP.

  • A natural ability to communicate IT, networking, and security concepts to people at all levels of experience and responsibility

  • Strong management and mentoring skills.



My client is looking to set up Skype interviews ASAP and plan to hire the successful candidate within the next 2 weeks. It is preferable that you are located within a commutable distance of Leeds, but there is some remote working flexibility on offer.
