Cloud Security Engineer - Europe remote - Up to £130,000

Locke and Mccloud are working alongside an information security firm with an opportunity to hire a cloud security engineer. This is an important role in the industry of cyber security and this company strives to be a leading supplier of security technologies and dedicated services. You'll be part of a high-performing team and network, specialising in Azure security, helping and providing clients' day-to-day cyber security tasks, and minimising the risks within their IT environment.

We are looking for an individual who is very knowledgeable and comfortable with Microsoft Azure tools such as cloud apps, endpoint & identity management. This software is highly important to carry out tasks such as identifying and reducing cyber-attacks, threat protection, and seeking out improvements in order to strengthen our clients' cloud and data systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily observations of Microsoft Azure tools such as endpoint management, identify management, and cloud apps management.

  • Strong abilities to identify issues that reoccur and utilising problem-solving skills.

  • Maintaining current baselines for the secure setup and functioning of all in-place devices, whether or not they are under direct control (e.g. security tools) (i.e. workstations, servers, network devices, etc.).

  • Engage in incident response by providing relevant information and data and investigating further leads.

  • Build excellent relationships with clients and colleagues throughout the business.


Essential Requirements:

  • Microsoft Security Certifications. e.g AZ-500

  • Associate or bachelor's degrees / Security certifications.

  • Exceptional understanding of information security and is frequently updated with cyber security threats.

  • Maintain good relations with stakeholders and work closely with management to get IS measures applied.

  • Proven ability to work multiple tasks efficiently and the capability to meet deadlines.

  • Willingness to learn and maintain knowledge through certified training, and online security courses.
