Application Security Engineer

Salary: $140,000 - $160,000

We have partnered with an award winning IT firm that is looking for a Application Security Engineer. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow with a company that plans on continuing their growth looking for individuals that want to grow with them.

About the Role:

As an Application Security Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and integrity of our client's software applications. You will lead a team of skilled security professionals, develop and implement security strategies, and work closely with development teams to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents.

• Perform forensic analysis to identify and resolve security threats.

• Manage firewalls, email gateways, vulnerability management, and anti-virus software.

• Implement and maintain security tools, such as SIM Tools, log management, and intrusion detection systems.

• Automate security tasks using scripting languages (Python, C++, Java, Ruby, Node, Go, PowerShell).

• Collaborate with remote teams to maintain a positive work culture.

Qualifications:

• 4 to 8 years of experience in incident detection, response, and forensics.

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or equivalent experience.

• 2+ years of experience managing firewalls, Office 365 Security, Endpoint Security, and more.

• Experience with Windows Server Administration and VMWare.
