Job: Senior Web Application Penetration Tester
Location: United States
Contract Rate:$70 - $100 per hour
Are you passionate about cybersecurity and excited by the opportunity to work as a Senior Web Application Penetration Tester? Join our client as they support their financial services client on a 3-month full-time contract engagement.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive web application penetration testing, identifying vulnerabilities, and providing recommendations for remediation.
Perform security assessments of web applications, APIs, and other related technologies.
Develop and execute detailed test plans, leveraging both manual and automated testing techniques.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate security risks.
Stay updated on the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and trends in web application security.
Requirements:
Extensive experience in web application penetration testing, including hands-on experience with industry-standard tools.
Strong knowledge of web application security vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top 10) and methods to detect and exploit them.
Proficient in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Ruby, or JavaScript.
Experience with secure coding practices, frameworks, and security-related libraries.
Familiarity with common web technologies, protocols, and architectures (e.g., HTTP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively convey complex security issues to technical and non-technical stakeholders
