Senior Data Protection/GDPR Consultant – UK remote - £50,000 - £55,000 + Excellent benefits!

Locke & McCloud are looking for experienced Senior Data Protection Consultants to join our client who is looking to grow their Data protection, GDPR, and Compliance team. In this role, you will work closely with various teams to assess the organisations data protection needs, develop strategies for compliance with relevant regulations, and implement data protection solutions. You will play a crucial role in helping our client protect their data assets and maintain trust with their customers.

Main responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients' data protection practices, systems, and processes to identify vulnerabilities, gaps, and compliance issues.

  • Stay up-to-date with data protection laws and regulations, such as GDPR, CCPA, ISO27001, and other relevant standards, and ensure clients' adherence to them.

  • Conduct privacy impact assessments and data protection impact assessments to identify and mitigate privacy risks.

  • Assist clients in mapping and maintaining data inventories to identify the flow of personal and sensitive data within their organization.

  • Develop and implement data protection policies, procedures, and documentation tailored to each client's specific needs.

  • Create and implement incident response plans to address data breaches promptly and effectively, ensuring regulatory compliance.

  • Perform data security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify weaknesses in clients' data protection measures.

  • Recommend and implement data protection technologies, including encryption, access controls, and monitoring tools.

  • Maintain comprehensive records of assessments, compliance activities, and recommendations.

  • Prepare and deliver clear, concise reports to clients.

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • Professional experience in data protection, privacy compliance, or information security.

  • Strong knowledge of data protection regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, or ISO27001.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in data protection technologies and tools.

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with clients and internal teams.

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of data protection.
