Role: Senior Cyber Security Engineer

Location: London

Salary: £500/ day (dependent on experience)


Locke & McCloud are representing a global legal services firm who are undergoing a large migration project. This firm are on a growth trajectory and will be adding headcount to the global cyber security team over the next year. You will be joining an established and competent cyber team who are passionate about their work. The team are keen to onboard a contractor who is experienced in delivering large- scale projects and an individual who can bring different perspectives to the table. This contract will be for an initial 6 month period, with the provision of extension.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and address security inquiries from the business across multiple areas.

  • Examine security incidents across hosts, networks, and logs, and take action on suspected breaches.

  • Stay abreast of recent security and technological advancements to maintain top-tier protection for the business.

  • Drive forward cybersecurity standards that meet or exceed industry best practices and legal requirements.

  • Lead cyber security initiatives that align with wider business objectives and legal obligations.

  • Act as a technical point of escalation related to security controls and concepts.

  • Maintaining awareness of security trends and the global threat landscape.

About you:

  • Proven experience as a Cybersecurity professional with a minimum of 6 years of experience in the Cybersecurity/Technology field.

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft365 security tools such as Intune, Azure & Conditional access.

  • Familiarity and practical experience with legal and regulatory requirements related to cybersecurity.

  • Ability to think strategically to identify and mitigate cybersecurity risks.

  • Ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple tasks and priorities.
