Information Security Consultant – Buckinghamshire hybrid - £60,000 - £75,000 + Bonus + Benefits


Locke & McCloud have partnered with a leading Utilities organisation who is growing their InfoSec team and is looking for an experienced InfoSec professional to join their team as an InfoSec Consultant. This role will allow you join an established InfoSec team to ensure the information security posture remains resilient and in compliance with industry regulations. You should have strong stakeholder management skills and a proven track record of working across various InfoSec domains.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their unique information security requirements and objectives.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executives, IT teams, and other relevant departments.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders and other leaders within the business, providing guidance and recommendations on InfoSec best practices.

  • Conduct comprehensive security assessments to identify vulnerabilities, risks, and compliance gaps.

  • Provide expert analysis of assessment findings, translating technical details into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.

  • Create detailed reports, documentation, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.


To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • Proven experience working in Information Security, ideally in an advisory/specialist role.

  • Proven experience in stakeholder management, with a strong ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.

  • In-depth knowledge of information security standards, frameworks, and regulations such as ISO27001, NIST, PCI-DSS, Cyber Essentials, and similar.

  • Hands-on experience with a wide range of security technologies and tools.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
