Information & Cyber Security Specialist – UK remote - £65,000 - £75,000 + Excellent benefits
Locke & McCloud are looking for an experienced Information Security Specialist to join our client who is currently growing their global InfoSec team. As our clients Information Security Specialist, you will play a crucial role in implementing and maintaining robust security measures, identifying potential vulnerabilities, and responding to security incidents. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, but with an understanding of security standards such as ISO27001 & NIST.
Main responsibilities:
Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities in systems, networks, and applications.
Develop and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks and ensure the security of sensitive information.
Collaborate with stakeholders to create and enforce information security policies, procedures, and standards.
Implement and manage security tools and technologies to monitor and defend against cyber threats.
Ensure the effectiveness of firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, antivirus solutions, and other security measures.
Monitor and assess compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure adherence to security policies.
To be considered for this role, you should have:
Proven experience working in an Information Security & Cyber Security role is essential.
Strong understanding of security frameworks, such as NIST, ISO, or CIS.
Ability to lead strategy and roadmaps across InfoSec & Cyber Security.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
