Cyber Vendor Risk Consultant |UK, Remote | £30,000 - £50,000 + Benefits

If so, I am currently working with an expanding cyber consultancy that is looking to add to its vendor risk team. You will have exposure to an exciting client base, working with their suppliers and internal teams to reduce the risk of cyber-attacks through third parties. As part of an organically growing team, you will have a clear progression plan as well as an outstanding work-life balance.
You will be working with cyber controls to heighten current defences coming from Vendors while also completing risk assessments and audits. Within the controls, you will be creating and defining them to be as effective as possible, playing the first-line role in defence of your clients.
This role will consist of:
Working with the suppliers of your clients to ensure that all potential risk posed by them is dealt with in the most effective way possible
Create and use cyber controls to defer any potential attackers to the business while also suggesting new ways to stay protected
Use knowledge of audits and risk assessments to initially adjudicate the risks posed and then input the controls mentioned to mitigate this.
Work with a variety of teams across technical and non-technical areas to ensure that all third-party risks are minimised.
To be considered for the role:
2 years in a similar role
Experience using cyber controls to mitigate cyber risk
worked with industry-recognised frameworks such as ISO27001, NIST, and CIS
Strong auditing and risk assessment skills
Excellent communication and client-facing skills
