Cyber Security Engineer – Hartford, CT – $105,000 - $125,000
I am currently working on a unique role for a major organization in the healthcare industry who are looking who are looking to hire a Cyber Security Engineer to join their team of cyber security experts.
The Senior Security Engineer will work within a team of 3 and will have a particular focus on end point security, SIEM and network security.,
In this role, you will get the chance to perform other tasks including risk assessments, security audits, threat assessments, solution design, malware analysis & incident response activities. Duties Include:
·Using SIEM, EDR & SOAR tools such as MS Defender, Crowdstrike, Demisto and Palo Alto NGFW.
Develop and improve the Cyber Security Centre's threat hunting capability by conducting regular cyber security audits and risk assessments.
Trouble shooting Linux and Windows operating systems and using PowerShell and Python to write scripts.
Managing projects with multiple stakeholders and engaging with key people at all levels within the organization.
Requirements:
Experience performing vulnerability scanning, malware analysis or incident response.
Scripting experience with Python or PowerShell.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
